Kawaii Onigiri (Japanese Rice Ball) Brooches

Onigiri or rice ball is a type of Japanese food. I'm sure you've seen people eat it before in Japanese cartoons or dramas, usually as packed lunch or picnics. Onigiri is basically made of plain rice, shaped into a roundish triangular ball, and then wrapped with a piece of seaweed. There are many varieties of onigiri today, from traditional to modern/fusion type. So, I used this as an idea to create these cute brooches for you.

WHITE: This little onigiri is the traditional type. Plain rice ball with a seaweed on top of it's head.

PINK - This little onigiri is inspired by the Japanese sweet called Sakura Mochi. It has a cherry leaf on top of it's head.

YELLOW - This little onigiri is inspired by the Japanese food called Omu-rice (ommelette rice). It has a squirt of tomato ketchup on it's head.

ORANGE - This little one is a Curry-Pilaf onigiri. It's a modern type of onigiri. It also has a peice of seaweed on it's head.

Strawberry Attack!

A strawberry a day, keeps a dull day away. These strawberry accessories can turn anything dull into utter kawaii-ness.

Ribbons, Bows and Charms Necklace

Don't you just marvel at how ribbons and bows can turn something plain into something so pretty? These ribbon charms makes lovely necklaces and even looks very special as hand phone charm.

General Information:

• Various patterns of ribbons used and hand sewn into cute little bows and then assembled onto adorable charms.
• Bear, angel and dream charm are made of Tibetan silver while the cow charm is enameled metal.

These cute sushi creations are dedicated to the all Japanese food lovers (like me) out there in this world! Don't they look very yummy? Makes you want to shout "Itadakimasu!" and tuck in right away right? Unfortunately these creations are not edible. So, all we can do is just sit down admire it and drool together ;-p.

For your information, these creations are made of quality Taiwanese felt, hand sewn together and stuffed with artificial cotton. For this collection, I've made 3 designs: Sakanako Sushi (Salmon Roe Sushi), Salmon Sushi and Futomaki Sushi (Thick Roll Sushi).
